UO Presidential Chinese Flagship Scholarship

Through the generous support of UO alumni Pete and Christina Nickerson, the UO Chinese Flagship Program eligible students can apply for the President’s Chinese Flagship Scholarship. This scholarship was established to ensure that Chinese Flagship scholars spend considerable time engaging in China through Flagship intense language study, academic area study, and internships. Overseas study and internships offer invaluable insight into different cultures and practices and the opportunity for Flagship Scholars to apply their academic and language learning.

Chinese Flagship Scholars who have been accepted into a Flagship capstone year, a capstone internship, or secured a credible independent summer internship in China prior to their capstone year are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Awards are based on academic merit, demonstrated student leadership, and evidence that student have actively applied for other outside scholarships.
